As a media group we consider how storytelling humanises historically oppressed groups and brings to light their incredibly dynamic histories. To do so, we work with clients to learn more about which stories they wish to capture and through which medium: digital, print, performance and move through the planning process.
Curriculum
Holistic storytelling is the foundation of mariahgoesabroad and education is key to spreading the knowledge of diverse cultures to counteract misinformation. Thus, mariahgoesabroad works with clients interested in diversifying their curriculum within broad frameworks or if working in strict state standards limiting which histories, we can also work creatively to ensure the full stories can be told despite the limitations of state or federal agencies.
Business Development

Thus, the world of fundraising, stewarding donors, researching new grant opportunities, and networking are important to the sustainability of nonprofits and independent contractors. Mariahgoesabroad uses her fifteen years of grantwriting experience to guide clients through the process, offer structure to the application process, and a framework to successfully apply for and identify funding opportunities.
